In 2019, the City of Fremont established its first 2020 – 2025 Age-Friendly Action plan. An Age-Friendly City is a livable city for everyone. We want older adults to feel safe, healthy, and happy while living in Fremont. The City of Fremont’s Human Services Department is now in the process of updating this Plan.
The Action Plan has 9 focused domains: Health and Wellness, Outdoor Spaces and Buildings, Transportation, Social Participation and Inclusion, Volunteer and Civic Engagement, Community Information, Employment and Learning Opportunities, Housing, and Dementia-Related Support.
