Capital Improvement Plan Survey
Tell Us Your Project Priorities for Fremont!
Every two years, the City prepares a new multi-year plan for the funding of projects to improve our parks, streets, buildings and other facilities, referred to as the Capital Improvement Program (CIP). Collectively, these physical assets are called the City’s infrastructure. The CIP is organized and operated by a separate dedicated budget from the City’s Operating Budget which is prepared annually and funds staff and community services such as public safety, routine maintenance, recreation programs, human services, and general government. Funding for the CIP budget comes from various sources including development fees, the City’s general fund, grants, and other restricted-use funds.
The current CIP update will include infrastructure priorities for the next five years, from July 2025 through June 2030. Funding during this next year five-year cycle is anticipated to be stable with little growth. To help the City prioritize funding allocations, we want your input! We want to know what infrastructure funding you feel is most important. The survey questions below are separated into categories related to “infrastructure maintenance” and “new infrastructure.” At the end of the survey, there is an opportunity to give us more information about why a specific project is your highest priority, or you can share details about any other infrastructure project not listed, that is a priority to you.
